This video is very straightforward and honest. It includes some of the uncomfortable aspects of what I'll have to face healing from my hysterectomy and the injuries that the Essure devices caused. This wasn't an easy video to film, but preparation is the cure for anxiety, so I like to be over prepared when I can.
You'll get to see what's packed in my recovery bag to help make my hysterectomy an easier process. There's lot of things needed to make this go smoothly! Major surgery is never easy, and with no cure for endometriosis plus a severe medical device injury, I've got a long road of healing ahead. I created this video in the hopes that it would remove the stigma on reproductive problems and invisible illness. Not many people are exposed to those with conditions or experiences like mine, and I think breaking the silence is key in creating understanding and empathy.
